The Roberts lab is part of the University of North Texas Department of Biological Sciences and the Institute of Applied Sciences. We are located in the Environmental Education, Science and Technology (EESAT) building on the north side of the main UNT campus in Denton, TX. Our research program focuses on laboratory and field ecotoxicology studies that aim to investigate the effects of environmental stressors on aquatic organisms. More specifically, we are interested in how changes at the molecular and biochemical level can result in impacts on populations, communities and ecosystems. Research projects in our lab includes studies on polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), mercury and nanoparticles, which is supported by the US EPA, NOAA and the Department of Defense, as well as industry.
